Over the last three months I have visited every Australian capital city, except Darwin, and the talk on every gardener’s lips is water restrictions and drought. Many areas have been suffering total water restrictions since March last year, and while recent rains have taken storage to more than fifty per cent in some dams, authorities are maintaining restrictions on gardeners.
